Welcome to Almshoe Bury Glamping. We are a family run Glamping site located on a working farm just outside the market town of Hitchin in North Hertfordshire. Mainly arable and spread over 800 acres, the farm has been in our family for over 100 years.

Alongside farming the family has also run an outdoor catering business for many years. We held our first wedding reception on Almshoe Bury Meadows in 2009 and in 2016 we were granted a license to hold civil ceremonies in our purpose built gazebo in the garden of the Grade 1 listed farmhouse.

 In April 2021 we welcomed our first guests to our luxury Glamping Pods, set in the meadow where we hold our weddings and events. We often had requests for guest camping on the meadow after events and decided that the Pods would be the perfect addition to the site. All the Pods have been beautifully accessorised with goose and duck down duvets and pillows. The curtains and the cushion covers have all been handmade for each Pod.

The Glamping team consists of Chris & David who live in the main farmhouse and are the brains behind the creation of Almshoe Glamping, Chris's sister Ellie who lives on the smaller farm just down the road, and Ellie's daughter Rachel who is in charge of the marketing and bookings. It will usually be one of us who welcome you to the site on arrival.

We currently have four Glamping Pods; two which can accommodate 2 people and two which can accommodate 4 people (double bed and sofa bed). The Pods are all located in the same meadow but do not overlook each other making it the perfect spot for individual retreat or for a group booking with plenty of space to socialise outdoors.

 Almshoe Bury Farm is located at the top of a hill with fantastic views over the Hertfordshire countryside. Almshoe Bury Meadow is an 8 acre well maintained grass site offering plenty of green space to run around and let off steam or the perfect place sit peacefully watching the wildlife or the beautiful sunsets over the valley.

Our new Rooktree venue has recently opened. It can be hired alongside the Pods or for private events. We have just held our first Sip & Paint event and we are hoping to do many more classes there.
